Objectives
History
The Thai Investor Relations Club (TIRC) was established in September 2001 by a group of listed companies' Investor Relations units which had the vision to realize just how important IR is to a company and its stakeholders who need the company's financial information. IR builds good relationships with the shareholders and often becomes a value added unit. The TIRC's activities are supported by The Stock Exchange of Thailand.

Objectives
a. To be the center for the exchange of information and the organizing of activities on IR for IROs both in Thailand and in foreign countries
b. To be the center for the promotion of investor relations methodology through the hosting of seminars and training courses for IROs
c. To gather and analyze all information stemming from comments and suggestions about the TIRC’s activities
d. To be one of the mechanisms able to help the general public better understand what IROs do

Benefits to the company
1. Improves the company's value in addition to its simple stock price
2. Provides a channel for companies to communicate and disclose information to stakeholders to help them maintain good relationships with their shareholders and other relevant parties.
3. Acts as a collection center where investor comments are received to later be presented to management.
4. Acts as a strategist to help expand the investor base which will help create fairer stock prices in the market

Benefits to the capital market
1. Encourages listed companies to assume their responsibilities and develop good relationships with investors which will lead to improved credibility of listed companies and the Thai capital market as a whole
2. Provides quality, transparent, and useful information disclosures to investors which will make a company's stock more attractive which eventually leads to greater liquidity in the market
3. Helps raise the standards of the Thai capital market to help it become more competitive in the global market in the areas of information disclosure, transparency in business operations and good governance.
4. Attracts investments both domestically and from foreign sources which will help expand the investor base and elevate the Thai capital market to the next level. In addition, it will increase the overall value of the Thai capital market making it more comparable to foreign capital markets.
